Intern Project at Oracle
I joined Oracle 2024 Summer Internship Program as a User Experience Designer in the UX Motion team within the Design System department at Oracle.
During these twelve weeks, I designed a comprehensive solution that addressed an accessibility related issue covering all components.

Timeline
What is UX Motion team responsible for?
Its primary responsibility is to design and spec the motion aspects of components, identify edge cases for users' interactions and collaborate with development team to ensure proper implementation.
Accessibility Challenge
My project is to provide an Oracle-compliant solution for an accessibility-related issue, which is highly challenging because its scale of impact is large, affecting all components. Moreover, there are currently very limited internal and external resources available on this topic.
Treasures That I Gained
Break through complexity by breaking down the tasks
When dealing with complex projects involving multiple factors, it may seem overwhelming at first. However, by breaking down tasks, figuring out resources, and clarifying timelines, we can more easily reach a breakthrough.
Storytelling is a magical skill
Good storytelling is always as important as a good project itself. In a complex organization, the ability to adjust storytelling based on the audience to effectively communicate and persuade is crucial for successfully advancing your work.
Get people involved
For a designer like me who is just starting in the professional world, it's essential to involve users, other designers, developers, and other stakeholders in the research and design process. Continuously learning from others' experiences and knowledge is very beneficial for both the project progress and my personal growth.
